Visitor Services AssistantDutiesCareer-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately March - December, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.Responsibilities:Perform customer service duties at the Visitor Center and other areas throughout the park, both inside and outside, to explain visitor activities and recreational opportunities, provide interpretive services, and provide accurate, useful information to the public.Operate and maintain the Visitor Center, which includes a museum, cooperating association bookstore, and theater with audio-visual equipment.Support park personnel by assisting with special programs and events, including planning, setup, implementation, and takedown.Monitor trail conditions and report obstructions, safety hazards for visitors/employees, and observed/expressed visitor responses and attitudes regarding preferred activities and programs.Collect and compile a variety of data and disseminate information by various means, such as collecting visitation statistics and entering data into appropriate databases or other repositories.Open & Closing Dates: 09/30/2024 to 10/04/2024.
