Visual Inspection Operator is responsible for visual inspecting finished sterile products in a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities: - Inspect finished sterile product to identify any abnormalities or foreign particles or substances
- Visually inspect parts under semi-automated machine or with the naked eye depending on assigned department; identify defective parts and segregates according to defect mode; and, notifies appropriate party of defective product requiring corrective action
- Work with Operations to transition the inspected units to appropriate storage location(s).
- Work effectively with other team members to achieve objectives
- Follow procedures regarding safety, quality and cleanliness of department
- Carry out assignments given by supervision or the lead operator to assure efficient, timely and smooth operations.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in cGMP/Aseptic Operations as Visual Inspector
- Must be able to pass pre-employment visual qualifications: 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses, and ability to see all colors
- Must be able to pass annual visual screening
- Ability to visually discern product specifications across multiple products.
- Ability to read, understand, follow and comply with technical and written documents (SOPs.)
- Must be able to follow detailed processing instructions as well as clearly and accurately documenting all necessary batch documentation
- Basic computer skills required.
- Comfortable working in a group setting
- Must be able to work while wearing PPE for all GMP areas for an entire shift. (Includes nonlatex gloves, hair/beard covers and gowns).
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends.
Physical job requirements: - Ability to perform detailed visual inspections, including distinguishing between small defects and subtle variations in color, texture, and size.
- Ability to maintain a consistent position for long durations based on the inspection setup.
- Capability to lift and move products, containers, or tools, typically up to 20 pounds, as required.
- Sustained focus to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in inspection tasks over time.

Our Compensation and Benefits At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $33,000 to $62,400, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. If hired to work 2nd in this role, the pay differential will be 10%. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance. Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
