A completed EDJOIN online application. Professional References must be provided within the application and have been evaluating supervisor/manager. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Previous High School and/or Collegiate competitive playing experience preferred 2. Previous competitive High School and/or Collegiate coaching experience preferred 3. Has demonstrated the ability to mentor the six core ethical values of Pursuing Victory with Honor (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship) 4. Proven ability to build positive relations with staff, students, parents, Media and community members. 5. Proven effective leadership skills. ABILITY TO: 1. Teach the fundamental physical and mental skills needed for the sport. 2. Teach the proper skills, techniques and training needed for the sport. 3. Communicate a clear vision for the development of the entire program. 4. Promote academic excellence within the entire program. 5. Foster a desire to promote school spirit and a positive school climate. 6. Communicate with staff, students, parents, media and community members with character and competence. 7. Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director & Site Administration.
If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB/Drug Screening. 2) Fingerprints $69. 3) Attain the Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate through the NFHS website $50. 4) Unless you hold a valid teaching credential/or 30-Day Substitute Permit, you will need to attain an ASCC through the CTC website $102.50. 5) Valid CPR and First Aid certifications from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved, in-person class are required upon hire. No online certificates will be accepted; however, the Online+Classroom type is acceptable where one demonstrates the hands-on skills. 6) Valid Lifeguard Certification from the American Red Cross or YMCA of USA Lifeguard Training Program Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (letter from an evaluating administrator.) Other (Completed CIF approved coaching class required if hired.) Resume
