If you do, then apply now to be a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist! The Division of Rehabilitation (DVR) is currently recruiting for two full-time permanent Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists. DVR maintains 11 Workforce Development Areas (WDAs) across the state where teams of DVR staff work together to assist Wisconsin residents with disabilities with their job search efforts. Current vacancies are in the following locations:
- WDA 2-headquartered in Milwaukee
- WDA 8-headquarted in Rice Lake
Travel within the WDA area, and occasionally throughout the state is a requirement of the position. See the map of WDA areas . Headquarter locations for each vacancy are listed above. Some percentage of remote work is possible after an initial training period and will vary based on the WDA. Remote work will be discussed during the interview process. This recruitment may be used to fill future similar permanent, project, and/or LTE vacancies.
Position Summary- Program and Service Development: Design and implement program, services and procedures; Collaborate with stakeholders
- Case Management and Coordination: Manage and coordinate Individualized Plans for Employment (IPE); Build relationships with public and private agencies; ensure compliance with regulations
- Technical Assistance and Monitoring: Review programs for compliance and improvements; train staff
- Fiscal Validation and Services Monitoring: Manage PO's, payment and billing; ensure fiscal compliance; resolve payment disputes
This position functions in a team environment within the office and WDA. It is responsible for the coordination of services, collaboration with and education of DVR with stakeholders; program and/or project coordination, and other specialization of tasks, including working with high school youth for the provision of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Salary InformationStarting salary is between $25.42 and $27.67 per hour depending on qualifications plus an exemplary benefits package :

The classification title for this position is Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (schedule 12, range 64). A 12-month probationary period will be required. This position is not represented in a collective bargaining unit and is considered exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.
Job DetailsTravel: Travel within the WDA and occasionally throughout the state is a requirement of the position.Remote work: Some percentage of remote work is possible after an initial training period and will vary based on the WDA. Employees with approved remote and hybrid-remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin. High-speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. Remote work options are subject to change. - *Working with people with disabilities in a professional or volunteer setting
- *Performing fiscal responsibilities (e.g., processing payments, creating purchase orders/invoices, researching cost comparisons, resolving payment disputes, etc)
- Interpreting complex information such as processes, step-by-step procedures, policies, regulations, laws, etc.
- Conducting or facilitating an orientation for one or more people
