Department This position is in the Florida Center for Reading Research located at 2010 Levy Avenue in Innovation Park.
Responsibilities The position is responsible for accurately and efficiently completing assigned tasks with archival data. Task(s) may include:
- Using observational software to locate and identify instances of content instruction (math, science, social studies) to video recordings of preschool classrooms.
- Using observational software to locate various settings within video recordings of preschool classrooms.
- Compiling exported data into excel sheets.
- Using basic math skills to determine time between events and total duration of video and audio events.
- Verifying video and audio clips.
- Creating video montages.
Qualifications A bachelor's degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with NOLDUS software.
- Familiarity with observational coding and/or transcription.
- Degree in Education or Communication Sciences or Psychology.
- Prior experience in the early childhood setting.
- Experience with educational research.
- Experience with language coding.

Anticipated Salary Range The starting salary for this position will be between $13.50 - $15.50 hourly based on experience.

Considerations This is an OPS/temporary job. Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check . This position will be for approximately 20 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm. All work will take place at the Center's main location in Innovation Park.
