You will be responsible for performing site surveys, configuring new and existing clients for hosted PBX, PRI, SIP trunks, and hosted contact center solutions in the Intermedia Portal; and configuring and testing Polycom, Yealink IP phones, ATA's, and other SIP endpoints. The candidate must be customer-oriented and proficient with utilizing our ticketing system, tracking their time on all projects and service calls. You will be given lots of opportunity to grow as a valued team player.Responsibilities include:Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the telecom field or in a related field.Ability to work independently.Basic understanding of network technologies (such as firewalls, routers, and switches) is beneficial.Strong knowledge of telephone features and services.Working knowledge on using desktop applications and instructing customers how to use our products.Pre-build configurations and turn-up VoIP products.Oversees the cable runs and pulls, programming equipment and following industry standards while coordinating with contractors.Test potential VoIP products and document suitability at the direction of the Director of VoIP.Maintains and improves service by completing preventive maintenance requirements.Able to install and mount equipment.Maintains a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.Knowledge of legacy PBX and associated technologies is a plus.Ability to work and communicate with our in-house IT team for advanced network troubleshooting.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
