See the list below for what our current highest priority needs are.* If you have any questions, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at ...@apl.org.Materials Management Volunteers: (Training will be provided in one or more of the following):* Shelving in Children's section* Shelf reading--checking sections of shelves to make sure they're in order* Straightening books and media on shelves so patrons can find them more easily* Children's materials cart ordering* Possible additional work available in Adult Fiction, Adult Nonfiction and Holds ShelvingTour Guide* Greet and welcome tour groups upon their arrival at the Library.* Facilitate library tours of approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours in length.* Answer general questions about Appleton Public Library's programs and serviGreeter:* Welcome library patrons as they arrive and wish them a nice day as they leave.* Answer simple direction-related questions.* R patrons to various areas of the library depending on the patron's need* Friendliness and respect toward people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and abilities* Able to work regular shifts during a monthBe able to communicate with staff supervisor if conflict comes up in schedule.* Other qualifications will be discussed in the interview according to the volunteer position.
