**Description:**

Narrative:

As a member of the Hospice Team, the Coordinator of Volunteer services will support the mission of Hospice through the development and oversight of all volunteer activities of the Hospice Program. This includes but is not limited to recruitment, screening, training, placement, supervision, and recognition of volunteer personnel. The Coordinator of Volunteer Services has an active role within the hospice care team in the collaboration, development and implementation of patient care plans related to volunteer support, including the responsibility of maintaining and adhering to Medicare and CHAP regulations. The coordinator is a member of a team of coordinators who oversee a particular area and support each other. This position will work out of the Saratoga office but travel to other office locations will be required. Some evenings and weekends necessary.

**Key areas of responsibility include.**

+ Development and implementation of a volunteer program that aligns with the goals of each nursing home community.

+ Collaborate with Nursing Home leadership and staff to identify opportunities for volunteer involvement.

+ Provide ongoing support, recognition, satisfaction, and oversight to the volunteers.

+ Previous experience in volunteers' coordination preferred.

+ Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards residents and volunteers

**Requirements** :

+ Baccalaureate degree preferred with one-year experience administering a volunteer program or associate's degree with five years comprehensive experience administering a volunteer program.

+ Driver's license and transportation.

Pay Range: $19.20- $25.85

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
