JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees the recruitment, relationships, volunteer database, and coordination of Meals on Wheels of Sarasota volunteers. Responsible for ensuring volunteers are trained and scheduled for adequate delivery routes and on-site meal preparation. Assists with the coordination of an annual volunteer appreciation event and is an ambassador of Meals on Wheels of Sarasota.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains cloud-based (ServTracker) database to ensure volunteer record have current and accurate contact information, vehicle insurance, annual waiver documentation, and their activity is documented
• Ensures the appropriate number of volunteers are scheduled for all shifts and delivery routes
• Maintains the database to track volunteer hours and mileage, provides a weekly report to the Program Manager, and is reconciled monthly.
• Supplies background check information to Program Manager
• Recruits volunteers to serve our mission
• Ensures the volunteer pick-up area is set up and communicates delivery instructions to each volunteer
• Ensures each volunteer is trained and the Code of Conduct is followed
• Works with Program Manager to coordinate an annual volunteer appreciation event
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated interest in human services and a passion for the mission.

Excellent team player with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Diplomatic and able to effectively communicate daily changes/needs.

Must be able to work accurately and efficiently.

Must be organized and demonstrate attention to detail.

Knowledge and experience in the food service industry a plus.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is preferred

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
