As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our patients, families, and staff have the support they need through the help of incredible volunteers.Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to attract dedicated volunteers who are passionate about supporting patients, families, and employees. Represent Hospice positively through community education and outreach programs.
- Volunteer Coordination: Conduct interviews, perform background checks, and assign volunteers based on their interests, skills, and program needs. Ensure that volunteers are fully integrated into our team and supported with regular communication.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside our dedicated care teams to align volunteer efforts with patient care plans. Actively participate in team meetings to contribute to the comprehensive care plan.
- Documentation & Reporting: Track volunteer hours, maintain accurate records, and ensure that all volunteer activities meet compliance standards.
- Volunteer Engagement: Foster a positive and supportive environment for volunteers by maintaining ongoing communication and recognition. Organize annual Volunteer Appreciation events to celebrate their dedication.
Schedule:The schedule for this position entails Monday through Friday day shifts.Compensation:Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and expertise. Our starting rate for this role is $56,000 annually. - High School Diploma (required); College Degree (preferred).
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
