We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week period)8-hour day shiftOccasional weekendsBenefit-eligible positionJob Description:Develops and coordinates all aspects of the volunteer program to ensure the recruitment, hiring, education and appropriate placement of volunteers for optimal integration and support.Principle ResponsibilitiesVolunteer program management.Develops, coordinates and oversees program, including training, processes, polices and ensuring compliance.Sources and recruits volunteers to meet departmental goals and objectives.Oversees and manages the volunteer application process including background screening, immunization screening and file management.Conducts orientation to ensure understanding of work and competency.Coordinates educational opportunities and required education as needed.Manages and maintains volunteer data including documentation of volunteer hours.Recognizes volunteers' work internally and externally and length of service.Integrates volunteer program.Works with management and/or interdisciplinary teams to identify volunteer opportunities and patient and family needs.Maximizes the skills and abilities of volunteers through position matching.Increases community visibility by planning and implementing outreach activities.May oversee the activities of an auxiliary group.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job descriptionPreferred Qualifications High school diploma or GEDAssociate's or Vocational degreeSome post-secondary education2 to 5 years of prior Human Resources and/or healthcare experienceExcellent verbal communication skills, able to problem solve, prioritize and manage time effectivelyLicenses/CertificationsValid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment if working in HospicePhysical DemandsSedentary:Lifting weightUp to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently
