Willow Creek Community Church

Location: all cities,IL, USA

Date: 2024-11-01T08:11:01Z

Job Description:

Willow Creek Community Church is an egalitarian non-denominational, multi-site church in and across Chicagoland passionate about helping people take next steps to love God, love people, and change the world. As a staff, we aim to foster a culture that has open hands to do whatever it takes to serve and support that mission, serving with humility and open hands. Wherever the need is, we step in. Nothing is above or beneath us to serve one another or our Church.

As the Central Teams Pastor you are the primary builder of a healthy volunteer culture at Willow. As a church, we know the power an invitation to serve using God-given gifts can have on a person's walk with God. We want each person to serve on a team that fits their skills, gifts, & passions while also having a clear understanding of one's part in the larger Team that encompasses volunteers across all campuses and ministries. You will help the church develop easy invitations and onboarding for new people interested in serving, strategize ways to make every volunteer team opportunity a ‘can't miss' experience, and create the systems and tracking that make it possible.

The salary range for this position is around $70,000 - $92,000 depending on experience and skill set. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement savings with company match, maternity and paternity leave, generous paid time off, mental health counseling reimbursement, and more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion the vision and strategies for Teams in alignment with the overall mission, vision and strategy of Willow Creek.
  • Set and maintain the standard for quality and execution of the objectives for this ministry across all six campuses within the aligned model.
  • Refine content, train staff/volunteers, and lead the strategy for a holistic experience that both introduces people to Willow and connects them into a serving team.
  • Helps teams across campuses and ministries create a feeling of belonging and purpose that inspires people to serve regularly and ensures each role is purposeful and each team member is valued and cared for.
  • Work collaboratively with Campus Pastors and other Central Directors to identify volunteerism gaps, solutions, and opportunities for improvement
  • Serve on the Executive Team of Willow and speak into the overall direction of the church while championing the value of serving.
  • Lead a cross-departmental, cross-campus team of staff who help develop and ultimately implement the Teams strategy
  • Develop and maintain regular rhythms that track onboarding, offboarding, and retention rates for volunteer teams in each ministry.
