Voter Services Coordinator
The purpose of this class is to provide customer-facing and customer-oriented services related to voter registration, absentee services, and early voting.
This class will lead projects in the areas of Voter Registration, Absentee Services, and Early Voting, ensuring accurate implementation of all voter services and procedures as established by laws and regulations; perform all duties to facilitate the voter registration process; ensure lawful and efficient operations of Absentee Services and Early Voting; and plan, organize, and execute said services to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all registration and elections activities.
Under supervision, this class will ensure all voter registration applications are processed, and voter rolls are properly maintained, assist with issuing and receiving absentee applications and absentee ballots, and provide early voting services in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner while adhering to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. This class receives and responds to public inquiries, requests for assistance, and voter issues; routinely performs administrative and clerical work including but not limited to data entry, answering phones, greeting customers, operating office equipment that includes computers and computer programs, generating confidential reports, maintaining lists and records, and filing records and reports; and types, processes, and transmits various forms, records, and legal documents. The class engages in basic GIS-related work; gathers, updates, and interprets geographic and demographic election data; and conducts related research and analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires work involving: standing, walking, talking or hearing, sitting, pushing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Requirements and Qualification
This class requires an Associate's degree or a high school diploma and 4 years of experience in an office environment. State Election Commission certification must be completed within 18 months, and yearly recertification is required thereafter. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other software related to voter registration and elections. Requires a South Carolina Driver's License and a good driving record and the ability to drive a county vehicle. At the discretion of the Executive Director, a combination of education and experience may be substituted for stated education and experience requirements.
