This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides accurate and timely financial information to regulatory bodies and management, and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy. The VP is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting processes in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations while providing strategic financial leadership across the organization.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the CFO and all Accounting functions, providing comprehensive oversight and strategic direction
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP program, with a focus on integrating and optimizing Accounting and Finance processes
- Develop and implement accounting and finance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting and accounts payable professionals to foster effective collaboration and accounting excellence in support of the business
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Oversee the internal and external audit process to support the annual audit process and certification of financial statements
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting and finance systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by the executive team and board of directors
- Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and driving improvement within the accounting functions
- Lead and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and understanding of Accounting processes and standards to efficiently support business needs while meeting Accounting standards and best practices
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of the financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Collaborate with the team to develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation for Accounting functions
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goalsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent degree required
- Active CPA is required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting management and leadership positions leading relevant functions
- 7+ years relevant accounting/controllership experience
- Public company and/or Big 4 accounting and financial reporting experience preferred
- Experience in Energy, energy storage, renewables and/or construction preferred
- Extensive experience with ERP systems implementation and management
- Experience related to percentage of completion and project accounting is preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing accounting operations in a complex, multi-entity environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- State, Federal and Local tax knowledge
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving process improvement and developing the capabilities of the Accounting and Finance teams
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential

The national Average Base Salary Range is $270,000-$298,000. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
