Currently partnered with a well established Broker Dealer that is seeking a VP Broker Dealer Accountant - Legal Entity Control in their New York City office to oversee their IFRS and GAAP books and manage regulatory filings. Their ideal candidate will have working knowledge if Broker Dealer regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination, preparation, and management of the timely month-end close process.
- Review month-end balance sheet and income statements for respective product areas, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and compliant with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of the financial reporting package to facilitate senior management review as part of the monthly FOCUS process.
- Manage, book, and reconcile transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare for and assist with monthly close flux analysis meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in accounting
- 8+ year post undergraduate experience preferred
- Must have experience with LEC (Legal Entity Control)
- FINRA Series 27 preferred but not required
