Job Description:
Sales & Service
  • Achieve individual sales goals for loan production, fee income, deposit growth, partner referrals, business calls, and others as assigned.
  • Develop and manage assigned Business Banking account relationships.
  • Prospect for new lending opportunities independently, as well as collaboratively with Branch Managers and business partners.
  • Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Participate in joint calling efforts with branch personnel and business partners.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers throughout application and loan processes.
  • Cross sell bank products and services as applicable and appropriate.
  • Demonstrate strong sales and service leadership skills.
  • Participate in networking functions and opportunities within respective markets to increase awareness and develop new business.
  • Respond to referrals and inquiries in a timely and professional manner (24-48 hours).
  • Meet with customers and prospects as requested.
  • Escalates issues and concerns to Manager as appropriate.
Portfolio Management
  • Collect and analyze financial and related data to establish creditworthiness.
  • Monitor customer's Business Banking account relationships through financial analysis and ongoing customer contact, thus increasing retention and satisfaction, while minimizing risk.
  • Must be capable of managing and structuring credits within the Department.
  • Manage a commercial portfolio with minimal delinquency and runoff.
  • Demonstrate ability for monitoring customer adherence to loan terms and enforcement of conditions precedent, covenants, and general monitoring.
  • Escalates issues and concerns to Manager as appropriate.
Credit Administration
  • Attentive to duties as a loan officer with focus on being detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledgeable in bank operations, procedures, and in the types of transactions which are more desirable to the Bank.
  • Structure, coordinate, and underwrite all loans in conjunction with Credit Administration as applicable.
  • Handle new loan requests in conjunction with government loan programs as applicable.
  • Escalates issues and concerns to Manager as appropriate.
Compliance
  • Stay current and comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Regulation B/ECOA, CRA, HMDA, Credit Reports, etc.
  • Stay current and comply with all established Bank polices and procedures.
Community Involvement
  • Maintain professional and community relationships within respective markets through active participation.
  • Increase Bank's visibility within the marketplace and thus generating new business opportunities and furthering professional development.
  • Keep abreast of local economic, financial, and legislative events which may have an impact on commercial lending activities.
  • Keep current and maintain knowledge of changes in regulatory environment pertaining to commercial lending.
