Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience leading and influencing broad teams, while overseeing the strategic development of your client portfolio, ensuring the team strives to deliver with behalf of your clients at all times.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in client management who can be a true partner to our clients, leading our internal teams in identifying client challenges, interpreting those briefs, and turning them into best-in-class agency solutions.

The candidate's day-to-day role will focus on the US region, but they will be expected to collaborate and regularly communicate with global stakeholders to bring to life our One Jellyfish approach.

The salary range for this position is $215,000-265,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a VP, Client Management, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership of your portfolio, ensuring you and the team strive for excellence on behalf of your clients at all times.
  • You will contribute to the success of Jellyfish through the leadership of your portfolio by setting best-in-class standards in client satisfaction and retention, plus service expansion across your portfolio. You will lead by example and mentor others.
  • You will be responsible for actively leading one or more of the most complex and/or strategically important client(s) accounts at Jellyfish. You will collaborate with others to create exceptional client relationships.
  • Seen by a client as the lead voice on an account, you will act as a trusted advisor, actively working with C-level members of your accounts, unlocking the potential for growth within the client organization.
  • You will be able to work with the most senior levels of both Client and Jellyfish leadership to develop best-in-class strategy, resulting in a significant positive impact to client business outcomes. Connecting with other departments/industry/global leads to developing innovative approaches to solving the trickiest of client business problems.
  • Advocate, drive adoption of and support execution of CM practices across client teams as well as offering solutions to the Client Management team to improve the overall effectiveness and/or efficiency of the practice.
  • As client lead, you will manage client commercial targets. Lead and facilitate the growth of portfolio clients' net revenue.
  • You will help drive excellence for our clients, ensuring best-in-class delivery.
  • Work alongside other senior leaders within the organization to drive the One Jellyfish proposition and creative community culture across the region.

Strategic Project Initiatives:

  • Advocates, drives adoption of, and supports execution of Client Management best practices across client teams as well as offering solutions to the Client Management team to improve the overall effectiveness and/or efficiency of the practice.
  • Maintains accurate account, contact, and opportunity data in Salesforce.
  • Connects with other departments/industry/global leads to develop innovative approaches to solving the trickiest of client business problems.
  • Leads Jellyfish efforts in the development and growth of our external partnerships (eg Google, Facebook, Salesforce, Amazon, etc).
  • Effectively delegates to others and provides support to help develop and grow the career of others in the team.
  • Develops and shares client success stories and case studies for use internally and externally.
  • Manages client commercial targets. Maintains robust commercial insights for the Hub and ensures accurate revenue and pipeline forecasts for the Hub at all times.
  • Collaborates with the Growth team and contributes to the new business approach to prospective clients.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Someone with 15+ years experience in client management at an agency, publication or brand
  • At least 5-7 years management/team leadership experience
  • Exceptional communication skills - oral and written. Excellent presentation skills and experience sharing new ideas with clients
  • Social media subject matter expertise, from platform knowledge to development and successful execution of social media retainers and campaigns
  • Someone passionate about social media audiences, who is able to speak 'meme' and understands internet language and behavior
  • Variety of client vertical experience - through entertainment (streaming, gaming) is preferred
  • Ability to think big and develop long-term client and agency plans
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively delegate and manage multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Agency experience a must
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • BA in communications, journalism, content marketing, or equivalent work experience
