⚡ The Opportunity:

They are seeking a visionary VP of Embedded Engineering to lead their embedded systems team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for their advanced battery storage systems. You will drive technical excellence while building and inspiring a high-performing team to deliver products that redefine the energy landscape.

⚡ Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of embedded, firmware and electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the design and development of embedded software for battery management, power electronics, and system integration.
• Develop and execute the roadmap for embedded systems to align with business objectives and market needs.
• Work closely with hardware, systems, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices in software development, testing, and safety compliance (e.g., ISO 26262).

⚡ Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in battery storage systems, power electronics, or similar safety-critical applications.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, embedded systems design, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with microcontrollers, low-level hardware integration, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, SPI, I2C).
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and cybersecurity for embedded systems.
