Position Overview

Serve as strategic advisor and trusted partner to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and entire Commercial organization on business initiatives, growth, cost and productivity opportunities, business planning, M&A and overall strategic direction, including development, execution and optimization of the business strategy, tying activities to the overall Hexion growth strategy.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Key member of CCO's leadership team and actively included in and involved to support key business meetings where major decisions are discussed and analyzed (SOR's, strategic choices, etc.)
  • Key member of CFO's Finance Leadership Team, with accountability to CFO and overall Finance organization across all Hexion businesses
  • Build capability and best in class FP&A capabilities across team. Provide training, development and support to current Business Finance Leader team to drive continuous improvement and learning opportunities for all associates

Profit and Loss Management and Cash Flow Optimization:

  • Financial owner of entire overall business unit P&L, maintaining working, financial expertise on the financial drivers of the business, including net working capital and growth capex
  • Assertively challenge the business, business partners and cross functional business partners as necessary to achieve financial objectives of the organization

Data, Analytics and Reporting:

  • Align business unit reporting, including developing new KPI's and metrics with broader data and analytics effort to support business reporting, provide meaningful business insights and drive decision making
  • Leverage new technologies to automate data and processes, providing more proactive analysis versus reactive data gathering
  • Play key role in organization-wide S&OP processes

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Coordinate and lead all budgeting and forecasting processes across Commercial Finance organization, driving process consistency, automation and forecast reliability across entire business unit's results

HexionNEXT Transformation:

  • Serve as Commercial Workstream Finance lead, partnering with CCO/Commercial Workstream Sponsor and Workstream Lead in achieving overall HexionNEXT transformation objectives

  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present ideas, perspectives both in writing and in conversation to all levels of the organization including the Executive Team
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performance teams

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Strategic Planning or Economics, MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant experience; chemical/manufacturing experience a plus
