Position Summary
MasterCorp is committed to investing in renovations and fully automated, laundry care systems and equipment to reduce risk and human error. Our goal? Cut down on processing time, ramp up operational efficiency, and track frequency for more accurate inventory control. Serving as the Vice President of Laundry Operation, you will be responsible for oversite of all Laundry related functions, procedures, programs and policies in achieving standards and efficiencies in operations. You will ensure the consistent commitment to maintaining laundry expectations through observation, communication, and strategy. You will serve as a role model, develop talent, and provide staff support in handling complex situations. In this critical leadership position, you will report to the President/Executive Leadership, and will ideally be based in South Carolina (Hilton head and/or Beaufort) or Orlando, FL. Overnight travel to these areas required as well as Williamsburg, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership for the successful operation of all laundry plants by working collaboratively with business partners to ensure KPIs and other performance goals are achieved
- Develop long-term plans and goals for the laundry operations, aligning them with the overall organizational objectives
- Monitor the key performance indicators of Quality, Timeliness and Budget and ensure the laundry management team is working together to achieve targets
- Ensure proper inventory of tools and chemicals is always maintained; ensure equipment is in good operating condition, rotating out in accordance with replacement schedules/plans.
- Provide routine updates to leadership meeting frequency and information expectations established
- Act as a change leader and champion organizational changes to achieve short and long-term goals and objectives.
- Manage performance of management team, and foster a culture of continuous improvement including evaluating, coaching, developing, and disciplining management members as needed as well as fostering
- Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, utilizing safety committee meetings, training, and good practices are taking place
- Ensure that a transportation strategy is in effect for the site – utilizing vehicles and drivers with efficiency, and that vehicle safety protocols, and program are being followed by all laundry employees and other assets are maintained and in good working order
- Consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to the management team through organized and scheduled meetings
- Build a professional relationship with clients and other key members of the clients' staff and maintain frequent communication with the resort team
Position Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or relevant years of experience
- 5-8+ years supporting Laundry Operations in a multi-site capacity in a leadership role supporting top executives
- Tenure in project management/engineering and operational leadership roles producing high-performing operations and engineering teams while scaling an organization in a rapid pace
- A proven track record of strong driving performance and key field operations metrics
- Deep understanding of laundry processes and industry trends
- Outstanding leadership skills, inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead teams, train talent and effectively drive significant change management
- Ability to work under pressure while solving complex problems that drive business objectives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Overnight travel required up to 40% as needed or defined by business requirements (Mid-Atlantic/Southeast)
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
