VP - Leveraged Finance TechnologyNew York, United States of AmericaThe Vice President will be part of the Leveraged Finance Technology Team for Santander's Corporate and Investment Banking organization. As Tech Lead, you willbe involved in developing, testing, and supporting application software. You will analyze, evaluate, and propose IT systems and solutions to enhance the value of the business, reduce costs, or otherwise provide a competitive advantage. You will research, procure, and implement cutting-edge software and hardware solutions to meet the evolving needs of Santander.Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:
  • Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and updating systems focused on the Leveraged Finance lifecycle in accordance with the needs of the company.
  • Activities include evaluating, scheduling, and resourcing development projects, investigating user needs, writing, testing, and maintaining computer programs, and preparing systems documentation.
  • Executes technical plans, system analysis, detailed design specifications, development, unit, and component testing.
  • Owns the workflow, budget, staff, output, and overall standards and procedures of the Application Development group.
  • Guides and shares subject matter expertise with team members to participate in performing procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized software development tools, technology, and development methodologies.
  • Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the Application Development unit.
  • Executes continuous improvement of the existing software applications and architecture. Ensures team delivery of quality code that is on time, on scope, and on budget.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceWork Experience:
      • 5+ years in Software Development or similar field
      • 9+ years of general IT work experienceSkills and Abilities:
        • Strong knowledge of Leveraged Finance business/ Wholesale products like Loans (Project Finance, Asset Finance, IG, Corporate, Syndicated), RPPs, Banking is a must.
        • Strong knowledge of IT landscape for Leveraged Finance / Syndicated Loans across the full lifecycle (research, origination process, booking, servicing, finance, and reporting) with working knowledge of the various application suite (e.g., LCD, Syndtrak, DebtDomain, Loan IQ, Clearpar, etc.).
        • Excellent communication skills.
        • Ability to recommend operational strategies/plans with direct impact on the company's results.
        • Ability to influence business decisions made by leadership.
        • Recognized both within and outside the organization as a thought leader in the area of expertise.
        • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a strong ability to build consensus and efficiently and effectively guide individuals at all levels of the organization through established or new processes.
        • Organizational skills.
        • Ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives.
        • Inside knowledge of the Financial Industry, particularly of the main products under Corporate and Investment Banking.
