Job SummaryThe VP of Business Excellence role, is a senior strategic regional role that drives operational excellence in the service and experiences within the Food at Google program across the Americas region, including cafe, food spots and events catering operations across the Americas region. This role will help identify strengths and improvement opportunities, audits, motivates, trains, develops and directs team members to deliver exceptional hospitality and accomplish daily projects and administrative tasks in line with all client and company guidelines. This position oversees the project management, operational and administrative tasks, including financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety pertaining to the projects they are actively managing. The VP of Business Excellence will lead a team as well as focus on innovative hospitality and creating the cafe and food spot experience for the Food at Google program in order to support operational excellence. This position reports into the COO for Compass at Google, and will leverage their strong project management, communication, hospitality, operational and financial skills to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, nutrition, marketing, behavioral science, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and people) to promote the highest standards, Food at Google expectations and enhance user (partner) experience. The role will be responsible for managing operations in Compass @ Google sites across the Americas & Canada as well as, managing client relationships effectively in alignment with contractual obligations. Establish annual business and financial business goals for each location and measure with General Managers and Executive Chefs. This role requires significant travel to each location to meet with clients and Compass managers and hourly teams. This role is based in NYC or Seattle, WA.The Great Things You Will Do:Support Cafe Development and New Openings (Cafe & Food Spots) operations teams through consistent business excellence practices.Capture key learnings, successes and innovations, from new openings and introduce, train, and cascade back to existing operations.Designs, manages, audits and owns the overall hospitality and core program experience, not just the offerings for both cafe openings and existing cafes.Leads a transformation project to enhance, realign and adapt the Food Spots across the region. Sets and mentors the expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging to exemplify the Food Program in every cafe.
