Job Description:

As a VP of Commercial Partnerships, you will deliver revenue growth through new partnerships with health-system-owned specialty pharmacies. The successful candidate will be comfortable creating meaningful relationships with health system leaders, executives, and other stakeholders at prospective Shields partners.

Job Duties:

* Engage with Chief Commercial Officer and EVP of Commercial Partnerships to produce a strategic plan for responsible territory.

* Collaborate with deal team to finalize deal economics and obtain internal approval from Shields leadership as needed.

* Build and deliver presentations based on Shields' message and capabilities, catered to individual health systems and the target audience.

* Manage process to close contracts with new partners, working with health system and internal counsel.

* Call on C-Suite CEO/CFO/Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Pharmacy, Heads of Nursing, Chief Medical Officer, (ability to hold a conversation with different specialties about Shields' care model)

* Close meetings with key decision makers and engage internal resources as appropriate.

* Act as the subject matter expert: research health systems, stay abreast of current specialty pharmacy environment and policy developments, and provide competitive intelligence back to Shields on market dynamics.

* Facilitate transition of closed deals to operational leaders.

* Utilize Salesforce to create pipeline of weekly sales activities and forecasts.

Qualifications:

* Success will be driven by your ability to gain new business wins and an understanding of the complexities of the specialty pharmacy environment to position Shields effectively to client decision makers.

* Expert critical thinker

* Deep understanding of needs-based selling strategies and ability to uncover underlying customer objections and concerns.

* Strong sense of urgency, with the drive and knowledge to navigate multi-level relationships with complex customers.

* Bachelor's degree: MBA or Master's preferred.

* 10+ years' experience in strategic sales, executive relationship management, and service delivery. Experience selling to health system executives preferred.

* Note: Candidate must have ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
