VP of Donor Relations:
The VP of Donor Relations will manage a portfolio of donors while contributing to the strategic and creative direction of development activity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of major donors
- Increase contributions from individuals by creating and implementing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Develop and maintain advanced prospect management and analysis systems.
- Analyze fundraising data to evaluate the effectiveness of major gift and annual giving strategies, track progress towards goals, and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain a high level of contact with prospects/donors and strengthens relationships with new, mid-level, and major donors
- Work collaboratively with Director Prospect Research, Director of Institutional Giving, and Chief Development Officer on prospect research, identifying new giving opportunities.
- Plan and manage donor recognition and cultivation events to facilitate communication and stewardship of top donors and prospects
- Support volunteers in their efforts to solicit individual and corporate donors.
- Establish and manage policies, systems and procedures for managing workflow and record keeping for individual giving.
- Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; CFRE or equivalent a plus.
- 5+ plus years of experience in direct fundraising and strategy.
- Track record of working with individual, family, corporate and foundation relationships, and proven ability to expand and cultivate donor relationships.
