FFA understands that its most valuable asset is its employees. The VP will create a human resources department to enhance and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, personnel policies, training and development, cultural humility, regulatory compliance and off boarding. Finally, FFA's VP of Human Resources will focus on the organization's culture and suggest the changes necessary to maximize employee satisfaction and retention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess organizational culture and nurture a positive working environment
- Conduct staff surveys to measure staff satisfaction and/or recommend areas of change or improvement
- Gather, analyze and report key data, such as Staff Exit Surveys, to report trends and identify procedural changes, if required
- Recommend areas of focus for the leadership team and board of directors
- Develop and foster FFA's Cultural Humility Committee
- recruitment and selection process including salary ranges, job descriptions, job postings, interview questions, interviews, assessments and required tests
- Complete orientations for new employees including paperwork, payroll enrollment and benefits programs, standard training and agency standard operation procedures
- Implementation of training needs for all new employees.
- Implementation of onboarding system that identifies equipment needs/assignments, key assignments, and required collateral for all new employees; work with IT and marketing as required.
- Transitioning of new-hire employees after 90-day probation period ends.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommends needed changes.
- Provide current employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- Assist in the development of agency policies and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Employee Handbook.
- Administer the performance review process.
- Maintain staff training schedule for agency.
- Assist in coordination of all employee onsite training
- Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
- Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees;
- Update and maintain job descriptions.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- Maintain company organization chart and the employee directory.
- Serve as the group administrator for all of the agency's employee benefits.
- Ensure that all personnel related documentation is in compliance with the federal government and requirements for all funding sources.
- Investigate and report on workplace accidents for insurance carriers.
- Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Return all calls, emails and text in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekly or biweekly coaching sessions with supervisor
- Complete Performance Reviews and SMART GOALS
- Participate in All Staff Meetings and In-Service Days
- May need to travel in personal vehicle to meet staff, clients, or community partners at FFA locations or at other locations to meet the needs of the position
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide supervision to direct staff to ensure they meet all requirements.
- Select, manage, and train direct team
- Implement weekly or bi-weekly coaching sessions and professional development plans with supervised employees to meet expectations and development objectives. Provide signed written staffing sheet to the employee after each meeting.
- Work with HR on employee relations and staff issues including onboarding, performance management, development and off boarding.
- Participate in Manager Training as required
- Maintain a professional relationship with staff and clients and maintain confidential information.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's in related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in an HR leadership position.
- Good strategic/critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented

- PHR or SPHR or equivalent a plus
- Must have a valid State Driver's License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.
