of Performance Improvement, Applications & Analytics

Under the direction of the Executive Vice President (EVP), the Vice President of Performance Improvement, Applications and Analytics plans, directs, and manages the performance improvement function of the organization. This encompasses BHN's Information Systems Department comprising applications, data management and reporting, quality assurance and project management, and the Electronic Health Record (EHR) team.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning and directing the Performance Improvement (PI) functions of the organization, aligning applications, data management and reporting, quality assurance and project management, and the EHR team in assisting BHN towards its mission of providing equitable high-quality care.
  • Responsible for the technology vision and planning process that will regularly evaluate existing technology, information systems, and staff researching new solutions and technologies and recommend changes. Collaborates with the EVP, VP of Admin and Director of IT to ensure Information Systems/Information Technology strategies align with overall organizational mission and vision.
  • Ensures implementation of the established auditing standards placed on this organization by funding, governing, licensing, and accreditation bodies.
  • Leads the PI process and program evaluation through regular data collection, analysis, audit, and reporting, and works with senior managers to implement performance improvement plans for areas as identified.
  • Responsible for developing methods for data collection, integration of systems information, and extracting data defined by senior leadership.
  • Transforms data into actionable information and communicates performance improvement priorities using the appropriate methods of data.
  • Oversees the linkage between external technology systems (e.g., government, vendors, and other health care organizations) and internal IT resources, including systems for electronic data exchange and integration.
  • Develops and communicates information systems management, governance structure, and project statuses to all levels of the organization.
  • Supervises the Director of Applications to ensure oversight of design, implementation, and evaluation of system platforms supporting end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software, to include the need for user-training program.
  • Supervises the Director of Data Management to ensure data reliability, integrity, and the efficient reporting of results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a concentration in Computer Science or Information. Master's Degree in related fields strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of business operations experience ideally in the context of high-growth company environments.
  • Five or more years of leadership experience required, preferably in an MIS/IT organization managing a team of MIS/IT professionals interfacing with executive level management.
  • Knowledge of strategic and operation planning, health care economics, personnel administration, federal, state, and local laws, marketing, financial and cost analysis, and trends in the health care industry.
  • Strong history of defining business operations' needs and implementing software-based solutions to fill them.
