Role Overview: Our client, a leading private equity and credit fund with over 100+ billion in assets under management, is seeking a VP of Private Equity Fund Accounting to join its rapidly growing direct lending platform. Compensation: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 Location: New York City (4 days in office per week) Responsibilities for the VP of PE Fund Accounting include: Oversee fund accounting processes for HPS' Direct Lending private equity funds Manage and mentor a team of fund accountants Review and analyze financial statements, valuation reports, and investor communications Coordinate with external fund administrators and auditors Ensure compliance with GAAP, partnership agreements, and internal policies Implement process improvements and best practices Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, operations, and compliance teams Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests Qualifications of the VP of PE Fund Accounting include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred) 8-15 years of direct lending fund accounting experience within private equity Strong knowledge of GAAP, private equity structures, and waterfall calculations Proven track record of managing and developing fund accounting teams Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fund accounting software Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Application Notice: Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
