VP of Talent Consulting Full-Time

Location: Remote/home office. Must be able to attend team meetings in Greater Boston area twice/year and travel to prospect/client sites as needed.

Job Summary: The VP of Talent Consulting is a highly motivated, experienced consultative salesperson responsible for developing new business and expanding our impact within our existing clients across our three practice areas: Selection and Talent Optimization, Executive Coaching/Leadership Development and Career Transition Consulting. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will work closely with our delivery and marketing teams, to align solutions that meet client needs and ensure delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

o Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

o Identify and pursue new business opportunities by establishing relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts.

o Manage the entire sales cycle: lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing deals.

o Attend professional networking meetings and industry conferences as needed.

  • Client Relationship Management:

o Build, maintain and expand meaningful relationships within client companies, with a focus on deeply understanding business needs and ensuring satisfaction with services delivered.

o Conduct annual business meetings to review account activity and identify opportunities to expand and drive more value.

o Act as the main contact with the client for the relationship's tenure.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement:

o Work closely with the delivery team to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet and exceed client needs.

  • Partner with Business Operations Manager to ensure contracts are structured to meet company and client requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing bi-monthly DEIB discussions.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Use HubSpot to manage sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Proactively communicate on client projects and business updates through Teams channels

Desired Experience & Attributes

o Ten-plus years of relevant work experience

o Understanding of organizational dynamics and HR fundamentals

o Technical confidence in facilitating virtual presentations and doing software demos

o A consummate professional with a high degree of integrity and authenticity.

o Strong customer-focused orientation and ability to build meaningful relationships.

o Sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

o Strong cultural acumen and experience working with and supporting diverse talent.

o Demonstrates a consultative sales approach.

o Is a team player and supporter of colleagues and overall company goals.

o Exercises good judgment in decision-making and understands and respects the confidential nature of our body of work.

o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HubSpot (or similar CRM).

o PI Certification (nice to have)

o Bachelors degree (preferred)

o Forecasts, tracks, and manages a healthy pipeline to meet or exceed sales goals. ($600K)
