Vice President, HR & Payroll Workday

My client is seeking a Workday specialist to join their technology team. The role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Workday HCM applications, focusing primarily on Payroll (US & UK) and HCM. The candidate will also manage other areas within Workday as required.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leveraging advanced Workday proficiency to optimize and automate manual processes across corporate HR, Payroll, and other departments.
- Innovating and implementing forward-thinking solutions for Workday and related HR applications.
- Working closely with HR, payroll, finance, and tax departments on technology matters, including reporting, troubleshooting, and system integrations.
- Improving current processes and procedures to enhance control environments.
- Performing daily maintenance tasks in Workday, resolving issues promptly through troubleshooting.
- Managing and executing projects using both internal and external resources.
- Providing mentorship to junior team members and offering professional guidance.
Qualifications:
- Requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday in HCM & Finance.
- Previous work experience within a Financial Services firm is preferred.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to gather business requirements.
- Deep understanding of HR & Payroll processes to support solutions and develop high-quality requirements.
- Knowledge of Prism and Extend is considered a plus.
- Workday HCM or Payroll Certification would be advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
