VP, Pricing & Valuations - Power/Nat Gas

A leading investment bank is hiring a Vice President to support the Commodity Trading division in NYC.

This hire will join the Valuation Control & Pricing team, working with Global Heads of Commodities Valuations, Market Risk, and Trading. The firm is looking for an expert in Energy markets: power/natural gas are required, but adjacent experience with renewable energy/oil and refined products could be a good fit as well.

Given the high trading volume across these markets, this hire is crucial to the business and will work in a very cross functional capacity. Day to day, this individual will own relationships with Traders/Desk Heads in the front office, Quantitative Research teams to collaborate on trading model enhancements, and Risk Managers to identify accurate pricing and exposure on positions.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Valuation Control, Pricing, Middle Office, Market Risk
• Commodity markets expertise: NA Power (any ISO), NA/EU Natural Gas, NA Renewables (wind, solar, RECs, carbon credits)
• Technical/analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, VBA, Tableau, Alteryx
• Excellent communication to collaborate with Front Office, Quant Research, and Risk teams
