VP of Product Management
AboutOur client is dedicated to redefining the way the world uses water through innovative and sustainable product solutions. We are looking for a visionary and technically adept VP of Product and Product Engineering to join our team in Baltimore, MD.
Position SummaryThis role will be responsible for leading the company through the entire product development and costing process to production-ready status. This involves coordinating with the US and multi-international teams to develop and maintain reports that track overall development, approvals, and production-ready status of all styles of the seasonal product lines. Will also lead resolution and corrective action plans for items that are missing deadlines through counter solutions. This scope includes managing the implementation and adherence to brand product technical standards in development through production-ready status. This position will be based in Baltimore, MD, and report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development and management of the line-up portfolio plan and efficiency improvement efforts and market issue response.Manage the product/service launch timeline setting by analyzing the new model's target quantity and its profit and loss, and by working with the marketing department.Devise the pricing operation strategy of each segment and model.Develop short- and long-range product and service strategies and plans.Work cross-functionally with all business groups to understand emerging customer and business trends that require enhancements or new product features to be developed.Set financial, operational, and quality objectives for the unit or product line and develop master operational plans.Lead execution (scope, requirements definition and delivery) of top strategic product initiatives.Accountable for growth and optimization of consumer awareness, market share and/or specified initiatives. Review the competitive marketplace and adjust operational activities based upon identified information.Oversee and direct the work of a high performing team of product managers.Profiles
BA Degree in relevant field5+ years experience in technology product management roles3+ years experience building and managing high performing teams3+ years leading cross-functional teams including program management and engineeringDemonstrated track record of delivering results in complex product and program environmentsStrong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up actionsExperience developing and/or deploying engineering platforms globally for a technology companyMBA or master's degree preferred.Benefits
