VP –Relationship ManagerCorporate Title: Vice PresidentReports to: Chief Revenue OfficerPosition Summary: The Relationship Manager will work closely with the Lending and Retail Banking Departments to provide exceptional customer support to the Bank's high deposit account holders and borrowing relationships. The Relationship Manager serves as the point person for high net worth clients, with a focus on increasingly more complex relationships, client service and portfolio management. With guidance, this position develops the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships, with a focus on revenue retention. Identifies opportunities for new business for incremental account growth. This position is responsible for marketing a full range of banking services and products with emphasis on client contact, origination, and facilitating financial literacy.Specific Duties:

  • On-boarding of Cash management products (business online banking, positive pay and wire manager)
  • The role holder has a responsibility to acquire, advise, and retain a portfolio of Premier clients, working with the broader Lending teams and direct Retail branch team to ensure achievement of the business performance measures and plan (as defined by CRO).
  • Conduct frequent and regular check-ins with assigned clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and strategic alignment with THE bank's services/product offerings.
  • Develop, track and report on relationship strategy/results for assigned client portfolio.
  • Conduct service review meetings and assist in client training, sharing of market information/experience.
  • Ensures client onboarding and/or risk management activities are conducted and captured (KYC, etc.)
  • Research client issues and bring to resolution. May be assigned as owner/expert of a process or product.
  • Lead, drive and manage business development results within the Retail Bank in addition to the responsibilities of managing and supporting the overall development of a sales management practice centered on deposit gathering.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on key metrics related to business growth, sales activities, pipeline and customer retention strategy
  • Meet annual revenue, business generation, referral and calling goals
  • Have a strong market presence with prospective clients and represent the Bank with a high degree of professionalism consistent with Carver's core values.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and service agreements
  • Set and implement a business development plan, and drive opportunity pipeline with strategic technology, consulting and ensure it's in line with the Caver's strategic direction
  • Monitor the banks high balance business and consumer customers and pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets and relationships
  • Identify risks and issues and structure relationships appropriately to mitigate future risks.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, competitive strategies and programs to capture key demographics and drive results.
  • Assist retail sales team to up-sell or cross-sell services and products
  • Identify key contacts at prospective client companies to establish and foster relationships
  • Grow the business by identifying new sales and business development opportunities which includes: expanding opportunities with lending customers, BAW (bank at work), and cash management sales
  • Monitor and assess the activities of our competitors to proactively satisfy and retain our clients

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in banking/financial industry.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with Cash Management solutions
  • Knowledge of various bank products, services, regulations and compliance procedures
  • A proven track record in delivering projects on time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Proficiency in Jack Henry (vendor) systems and new product processes.
  • Ability to build, foster, and maintain positive professional relationships
  • Devotion to high-quality customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Keen analytical and research abilities
