ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Administer assigned accounts in accordance with the terms of the governing instrument, applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations and in a manner consistent with the needs of the client.2. Supervise, assist and train assigned junior personnel.3. Ensure wishes of clients are carried out regarding investment objectives and payments to employees and retirees.4. Resolve problems reported by clients and others with guidance from department head.5. Aid clients regarding investment management, statements of account, taxes, remittances and participant records.6. Keep informed of new developments, policies and laws concerning retirement plans and institutional accounts.7. Participate in related business development activities and department revenue goals.8. Meet with existing/prospective retirees to educate them on benefit options.Participate and/or run one-on-one and group employee education presentations.9. Assume responsibility and accountability on relationship building to develop a deep understanding of assigned client's business and industry and needs around employee benefit programs and other financial services for growing account balances, adding participants, retaining retiree accounts, and developing referrals.Work closely with other Trust Company divisions and Bank departments to ensure the client's needs are met.10. Maintain all professional credentials/certifications and pursue continued educational opportunities as approved by management to maintain knowledge and proficiency. 11. This includes but is not limited to Assistant Retirement Services Officer(s). WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in a professional office environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing - perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound; 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading along with travel as required.Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds.This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.TRAVEL:Occasional travel (could include overnight stays)COMPETENCIES:1.
