The Vice President of Support Services will be an integral member of the leadership team and critical to the continued financial success of the hospital's mission and organizational objectives.The Vice President of Support Services at the University of Colorado Hospital is tasked with overseeing and managing non-clinical support operations, including food and nutrition services, the gift shop, and guest services. This role involves enhancing operational efficiency, driving customer satisfaction, and leading a high-performing team dedicated to providing exceptional service. The Vice President will work collaboratively with other executives to ensure that support services align with overall business goals and objectives.
Reporting RelationshipsReports to: Chief Operating Officer, University of Colorado Hospital with a dotted line relationship to the Vice President for Ancillary and Support Services.
Responsibilities- Provide direct oversight for non-clinical support service operations at UCHA, including food and nutrition services, the gift shop, and guest services
- Collaborate with system leaders to ensure effective operations of key support service functions at UCHA, including facilities, planning/design/construction, security, IT, clinical engineering, environmental services, and transport services
- Support the UCHA COO in oversight of space planning, capital planning, and other key duties as assigned
- Support and drive system standardization efforts, representing UCHA effectively in broader decision-making and ensuring effective implementation of system efforts at UCHA
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide business processes, support the delivery of services, and ensure a culture of quality and satisfaction.
- Monitors and evaluates operations to ensure compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards/requirements.
- Leads departmental financial planning to ensure cost-efficient operations and to maximize profitability.

- A master's degree in health administration, business administration, or other relevant field is required
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience, with a proven record of success in a health system.
- Strong vision, strategic planning, customer service, collaboration, change management, and communication skills are required.
- Experience in matrixed reporting relationships and possess strong collaboration skills to foster relationships across UCHealth.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication and organizational skills and executive-level presence.
- An innovative, creative and forward-thinking leader with the proven ability to engage, coach and mentor direct reports, colleagues and other key stakeholders
