A leading global asset management firm seeks an experienced VP for Technology Infrastructure & Operations to join the team in Stamford CT. This role will oversee and enhance the firm's critical tech infrastructure, covering AWS, Microsoft Azure, Data Center Operations, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT Governance, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Critical Infrastructure: Manage and enhance the firm's core technology infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, Data Center Operations, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, and IT Governance.
- Power the Trading Desk: Support the Stamford trading desk by overseeing trading, order management, and portfolio accounting systems.
- Master Data Center Technologies: Oversee the Data Center technologies, such as Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail, Dell EMC PowerStore, Unity SANs, and NetApp Filers.
- Administer with Precision: Manage Windows servers (OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, SCCM) and VMware ESXi hypervisors.
- Design and Secure Networks: Design, implement, and secure our network infrastructure with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto solutions.
- Optimize Network Performance: Support LAN, WAN, and Meraki WiFi networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Prioritize Security and Reliability: Conduct regular backups, security hardening, and apply timely patches.
- Document and Guide: Develop comprehensive documentation for systems and network configurations, and provide technical guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration and Network Engineering.
- Data Center Mastery: Proficiency in Data Center technologies, including Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail, Dell EMC, and NetApp.
- Technical Expertise: Strong skills in Windows server administration, VMware ESXi, network design, and high availability solutions.
- Networking Know-How: Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP) and firewall/security policies (Palo Alto).
- Scripting Savvy: Proficiency in PowerShell and Python.
- Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications (Optional): Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, VCP, MCSE, PCNSE) are a plus.
