VP. Territory LeaderZurich North America is currently looking for a highly qualified VP level Territory Leader to serve our San Francisco Bay Area territory.In this business-critical position, the Territory Leader will managethe relationships with our Global, National, and Regional Insurance Brokers and Agents in order to deliver profitable growth by selling a broad and differentiated suite of commercial insurance solutions.The Territory Leader will be charged with acquiring detailed knowledge of Zurich's top trading partners including the brokers' business models and propositions and creating business plans that optimize identified opportunities that are in alignment with organizational market basket strategies.In this role, you will be an influential leader by driving the underwriting team towards reaching the area's financial growth targets by keeping Zurich front of mind with the broker community. You will market and communicate the long-term development of new revenue producing programs, field personnel and operational development through performance, financial and operations management, and special projects. The position will incorporate high efficiency solution-selling in support of business and field development. This position will be responsible for coaching and mentoring underwriting teams and plays a critical role as part of the Zurich regional leadership team.If you have a track record of success in building and developing relationships in commercial insurance and are a thought leader who can drive top line success, this might be a great opportunity for you.The qualified candidate will also be able to:
- Activate the San Francisco office and create One Zurich market-facing strategies
- Host and direct meetings with executive level clients
- Bring with them an extensive network within the Brokerage community
- Gather data to translate from the client in order to come up with actionable items for improvement
- Troubleshoot and mediate issues/conflicts
- Provide deep insights to Zurich leadership on the health of the relationships with the brokersBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Relationship Management area
- 10 or more years of experience in underwriting, distribution management and/or relationship management rolesPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience in both National Accounts program design as well as Middle Market solutions
- Strong project and process management skills
- Strong understanding of Broker needs, value chains, and business drivers
- Experience working with an insurance regulatory environment and regulatory changes
- Knowledge of complex insurance programs and risk solutions, including alternative risk financing
- Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skillsCompensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
