OverviewOpportunity to work for a top 20 Bank, with advancement opportunities both in the department and other functional areas of CIT and First Citizens Bank. The VP, Underwriter and Portfolio Manager for Aerospace, Defense, and Government Finance will oversee the preparation of cash flow models, will conduct independent industry research, and will lead in the underwriting of credits, and will manage accounts post close.You will work within a team construct to lead in the credit underwriting and portfolio management of diverse debt solutions for middle-market companies. Specifically: (i) LBO Financing, (ii) Acquisition Financing, (iii) Debt Refinancing, and (iv) Recapitalizations-working with potential borrowers, private equity teams, and other Lenders.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities: Candidates will work within a team construct to lead in the credit underwriting and portfolio management of diverse debt solutions for middle-market companies. Specifically: LBO Financing, Acquisition Financing, Debt Refinancing, and Recapitalizations (working with potential borrowers, private equity teams, and other Lenders).Candidates will oversee the preparation of cash flow models, will conduct independent industry research, and will lead in the underwriting of credits, and will manage accounts post close.Prepares waivers and amendment requests or add-on opportunities.Ensures the updates of ETT, CreditLens and review forms in a timely manner.Oversees the maintenance of credit files in preparation for internal or external audits.Ensures compliance with all CIT policies and procedures.Has firm understanding of CIT systems and resources.The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is $150,000 - $170,000/Yr. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. First Citizens offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits program which you can review here: .QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Bachelor s degree with courses relevant to business and financial analysis7 years of experience in business lending or investing environment; along with underwriting and portfolio management experience Other/Preferred Qualifications: The completion of a formal credit training program; preferred Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills Excellent oral and written communications skills Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks with changing priorities Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Attention to detail Ability to function independently and lead small deal teams
