Join us!The Opportunity As US Business - Data Officer, this role has full responsibility and accountability for leading the ideation and development of actionable, high impact, data and analytics solutions in support of MetLife's US Business strategy. The work will deliver data driven decisions across all critical business functions such as customer acquisitions, loyalty, retention, profitability, risk management, innovation, operations and more. The role involves creating and delivering a Data Roadmap that aligns with the US Business goals, collaborating with various stakeholders and partners, identifying new and novel uses for data and analytics, ensuring the prioritization and delivery of data capabilities, and driving operational excellence and efficiency.How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) Develop and deliver a Data Roadmap integrated with the US Business (USB) strategy.Work collaboratively with US lines of businesses, US Technology, Infrastructure, along with vendor partners, to translate the Data Roadmap into projects and programs. Serve as “business to data” translator and orchestrator, ensuring the Data Roadmap is effectively implemented within each key line of business to enable business outcomes. Identify new and novel uses for data and analytics across supported lines of business to create/enable growth, process optimization, and customer insight.Envision new data solutions and identification of where existing solutions can be expanded or scaled to meet the growing needs of our customers and business partners.Engage with customers to understand needs and requirements, then effectively communicate those needs and requirements across Data and Analytics (DnA) organizationWork directly with USB and DnA leaders to prioritize the backlog and ensure design and delivery of innovative data and analytics solutions.Ensure priorities are appropriately set and teams are engaged to deliver committed DnA capabilities.Analyze key trends in the business units and provide actionable recommendations to how data can help solve problems, increase efficiencies, and create growth opportunities.Enhance data acumen and acceptance within lines of business, leading to the creation of self-service functions including but not limited to Business Intelligence, Analytics.Establish baselines and build key performance measures to track progress against the data roadmaps, course correcting as necessary to achieve the outcomes desired.Drive operational excellence and consistency, through the identification and enablement of opportunity areas that create efficiency, removing obstacles and/or creating improved processes and approaches to enhance the customer experience.Develop relationship with senior business and technology leaders, gaining consensus and driving to accomplish the goals, with strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Support business teams' interaction to identify opportunities, improvements and escalate issues along the execution of the roadmap. Help with the identification of issues, provide guidance, and follow through resolution.What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)15 years of experience and knowledge in data and analytics tools and strategies including but not limited to ML, modeling, data management and quality, governance, BI, and visualization are required.Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholders across all levels of the organization and cultivate strong partnerships.Thoughtful leadership skills and experience in translating greenfield ideas into productionized solutions.Ability to influence and communicate the organizations direction and ensure results are achieved.The salary range for applicants for this position is $209,000 - $278,700 - This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives..Benefits We OfferOur U.S. benefits address holistic well-being with programs for physical and mental health, financial wellness, and support for families.
