W&D Helper Location: Forest, VAHours: 7AM-3PM Responsibilities and Activities:
- Sort mail off the end of a production machine
- Sort and insert tags into mail trays
- Rewind rolls of stamps for use on the production machine
- Use of a pallet jack to move finished pallets of mail
- Meet and exceed production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements
- Communicate job status and production concerns/issues during shift change
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Communicate with Operator and/or Supervisor on any problems on the production machine
- Work with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements
- Continue learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production
- Facilitate teamwork among team members and between shifts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds or more repeatedly
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine set-up
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members
- Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and ability to stay in work area
- Must be able to foster team cooperation
