In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all meals are served and presented in accordance with the guidelines established by the Director of Food Service. The loving care, attention, and great customer service you bring to the dining experience are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.Additional responsibilities include:Working in our Memory Care UnitPatiently and cheerfully taking resident meal ordersChecking station tables for settings and cleanlinessReading the menu before service so that you can knowledgeably assist the residents with their selectionsAssisting in the plating and proper portion controls of some or all of the following: appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and dessertsBussing tables at the end of the mealMust be able to work at least one weekend day per week (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs).The ideal candidate will have the following skills/qualifications:Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industryAble to function in a fast-paced environmentHave a strong ability to multi-taskPossesses good communication, customer service, and people skillsIs professional, patient, and able to satisfy a demanding customer baseExperience working with a senior population is preferred, but not requiredIs a team player, willing to help out where needed to ensure a pleasurable dining experienceFamiliarity with food safety, food preparation, and board of health guidelines is a plusIs able to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive waysMust always be reliable, caring, and gentle in actions and demeanorMaintains an abiding respect for the elderly and remains calm at all timesNew Jersey locations: Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal accommodations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
