Oneida Health is currently seeking a Ward Clerk to join our team. The Ward Clerk will perform various routine clerical duties and related tasks as directed by the charge nurse. The ideal candidate for this position should have the ability to work independently and provide a positive patient and customer experience. Strong and courteous communication skills are essential for this role, along with proficiency in computer operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine clerical duties under the direction of the charge nurse. Demonstrate skill in computer operations, including census changes and electronic data entry. Prepare patient charts for admission, transfers, and discharges, and maintain an accurate log of such events. Promote and maintain overall cleanliness of the unit, including the nurses' station. Secure and transfer medication to and from the hospital pharmacy safely, and perform other inter-department messenger duties as needed.
