Job Description:

Our client, is looking for Distribution/Warehouse Manager to join the team.

Full time / direct hire

Monday – Friday with flex work on weekends

Onsite in Chino & Santa Ana

Job Summary:

The distribution manager supervises all activities of that facility, which includes but not limited to overseeing team performance, training, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods, inventory control, ensuring efficiencies, organized storage, and staffing needs.

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

• Achieves financial objectives:

o Staffing, supplies, and carriers.

• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Manage a team of 6+ managers, supervisors, and leads.

• Supervise a staff off 70+ associates

• Oversee the operation of 2 facilities as well as communicated with multiple 3PL's.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Recruits, interview, hire, and trains new staff.

• Update SOP (standard Operating Procedures) wherever necessary

• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

• Assist with any audit whenever necessary

• Training of staff and adherence to company policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in running a multiple facility operation.

• Managing a team with over 75+ employees with multiple shifts.

• Strong SAP/ERP/WM/Master Data abilities strongly preferred. Experience with warehousing programs required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least two years related experience require
  • Omni Channel preferred
  • Drop ship, Wholesale (majors), e-com
  • Customer/Vendor Compliance

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
