  • Responsible for receiving all inbound products according to safe food handling procedures
  • Uses proper receiving procedures and places all products in appropriate storage area(s)
  • Logs inbound products into inventory in a timely manner
  • Responsible for signing all receiving documentation bills of lading, receiving memos and shipping documents as needed and indicating any discrepancies
  • Conveys delivery discrepancies/issues to Food Service Office Specialist
  • Provides all signed paperwork to Food Service Office Specialist in a timely manner
  • Coordinates staging of outbound products according to daily delivery routes and shipping documents from Procurement
  • Maintains a safe and orderly work environment, keeping pallet and work areas orderly
  • Works with Food Service Office Specialist on weekly and end of month inventory
  • Tracks inventory by working with Procurement staff to ensure timely utilization of products
  • Responsible for ensuring that all trucks are in working order
  • Responsible for maintaining temperature logs for all refrigeration units
  • Ensures that all preventative maintenance is scheduled for all vehicle and material handling machines
  • Works with School Nutrition Office Specialist to obtain contracts/purchase orders for necessary Central Kitchen equipment/truck repairs and maintenance as needed
  • Reviews Daily and Weekly Truck inspections to ensure vehicle are safe to operate
  • Oversees drivers functions i.e., staging, route changes
  • Makes arrangements with drivers to make emergency deliveries and pick-ups as needed
  • Makes deliveries as needed
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B
  • Experience with maneuvering motorized floor jack and tow motor
  • Able to lift sixty (60) pounds
  • Excellent math skills required
  • ServSafe Certified within 3 months
