Role Description:

The role of an Assembly Technician is to put together or repair products manually or using a machine. As an assembly technician, your responsibilities include piecing together the product, often with a team, and performing quality assurance on the entire process.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently expected to move throughout the warehouse and use/operate assembly related equipment.

Responsibilities:

The Assembly Technician will build up Eterra product per specifications and instructions provided; they will produce work orders on time and error free; they will communicate assembly best practices and lessons learned to the Head of Product who will update all necessary assembly instruction packets with their team and redistribute; they will be the foremost subject matter experts on our brand and the parts that make it; they will be keenly aware of our part numbering system; they will communicate to the Purchasing Agent their ordering needs as soon as possible and they will utilize installed Kanbans; they will correctly test assembled product and check for quality as well as accuracy the builds performed by other Assembly Techs; finally, they will safely and cost effectively prepare/stage product to be shipped.

The Assembly Tech. will be competent and confident with hand held tools, power tools, and operating the machines required to perform their work; they will complete tier appropriate safety training (i.e. overhead crane at Tier III and no sooner); they will use forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move items about the warehouse; they will be lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs as well as helping others move and maneuver items greater than 50 lbs; finally, they will maintain a clean and tidy work area.

The Assembly Tech. will be helpful and assist other divisions within their department. Examples of this may be performing inventory counts accurately and efficiently; shipping, picking, and packing; offloading freight and receiving products; and efficiently stocking, consolidating, and moving products physically/digitally within SSS systems.

The Assembly Tech. will be a LEAN thinker and apply this training to their daily tasks; they will be resourceful and excellent problem solvers; they will be respectful and kind to all individuals they interact with, whether that be their co-worker, customer, supplier, vendor, driver, or guest; furthermore, they will uphold, update, create, and perform according to written and generally accepted company procedures.

Requirements:

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics

* Exceptional personal accountability
