As a seasonal Warehouse Associate, you would help to and ensure we have the resources available to ensure that our animals, representing over 720 species, are well cared for and that endangered species around the world are protected with our global conservation efforts. This position is non-exempt part-time position under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Toledo Zoo is looking for Applicants Who:

Essential Job Functions*Duties will include, but are not limited to the following*
- Stocking, loading/unloading shipments.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders.
- Taking direction and working independently and with a team.
- Provide quality services by following organization standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Assists and follows the shipping and receiving procedures for the Zoo; delivers and picks up merchandise for the Zoo; receives merchandise from vendors/suppliers; pulls purchase orders; unloads merchandise from trucks; inspects merchandise for damages; shelves and stocks incoming merchandise; etc.
- Assists with maintaining inventory control of warehouse merchandise and materials, which involves conducting physical counts, entering data into computer, and reviewing inventory records and reports.
- Prepares and processes a variety of reports and records including inventory reports, receiving reports, work orders, transfer slips, incident reports, various logs, memos, etc.
- Maintains warehouse and vehicles in a clean and orderly fashion, performing housekeeping activities as needed.
- Interacts and communicates with various individuals and groups including sales representatives, immediate supervisor, other departmental supervisors, delivery drivers, etc.
- Utilizes and operates various types of equipment such as an automobile, trucks, dump truck, cargo van, fork lift, ice machines, pull carts, hand trucks, stock ladders, two-way radios, copier, computer, pallet lift, hand tools, mechanics tools, etc.
Minimum Training & Qualifications:
- Work schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and could also include some holidays.
- Must have the physical ability to lift 45 pounds, work on your feet, and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
- Must be 21 years and older.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
