Come Join Our Team! DescriptionJob purpose Efficiently and accurately pick products from inventory and properly pack customer orders for shipment. Duties and responsibilities
  • Pick product at specified location using a hand held scanner
  • Identifying product information including catalog numbers, lot number, quantity of product etc.
  • Review all documents to ensure they match products picked from inventory
  • Pack items for shipment or deliver items to packing area.
  • Pack all products within an order according to rules and regulations.
  • Use correct packing materials and boxes to maintain product integrity
  • Apply all labels needed for proper packaging and safe transport, including international, domestic, and hazmat products.
  • Restock boxes and packing material as needed
  • Keep workspace stocked with packaging materials and supplies as needed
  • Perform quality control by verifying orders for correct items and quantities prior to releasing package to shipping.

  • High school diploma and 1-3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to operate all necessary material-handling equipment including powered industrial trucks
  • Must be able to pass HazMat training course and handle dangerous goods in an error-free manner
  • Must be familiar with keyboard and have the ability to use multi-screen, multi-menu main frame and access e-mail system
  • Must have ability to quickly learn to use company's computerized inventory system
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions as well as read and write short/simple correspondence and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in primarily in a plant environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with hours of work and days scheduled determined by the Warehouse Supervisor. Special circumstances such as off shift and weekend work might occur on rare occasions. This position requires no travel. Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily standing for prolonged periods of time while operating material-handling equipment. Walking, sitting or bending will occur from time to time. Prolonged periods of concentration and focus are required along with adequate interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with stress of time constraints. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires regular and consistent attendance at the facility.
