What You'll Do As our Order Puller, you will have the opportunity to:
- Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
- Read and understand pick lists and paper work
- Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh between 49-69 lbs.
- Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
- Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
- Clean and tidy the work area as required
- Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
- Product binning and put-away as needed
Who You Are We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50lbs
- Experience in warehouse environment
- Solid work ethic and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills

What it's like at Metrie
- Safety.Your safety is important to us. We want you to leave the day, the same way you came in. Continuous training with all warehouse personnel for both Safety and Operational excellence. Measure critical safety metrics on a monthly basis, identify potential issues and take appropriate actions.
- Surroundings.You'll be working around moving machines - order pickers, forklifts, and mobile carts.
- Activity.Some activities may require operating machinery, constant walking, repetitive lifting, and using a handheld scanner.
- Temperature.Warehouse in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Noise level.Can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.
- Dress code.Relaxed, with a few requirements regarding PPE. Metrie provides safety shoes, high visibility shirts or vests, eye protection and gloves.
