Job Overview: We are looking for motivated Warehouse Associates I to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, your primary responsibilities will include operating powered industrial vehicles (such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks), picking and prioritizing products, and maintaining warehouse organization. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to efficiently fill orders. Key Responsibilities:
- Order Picking & Staging: Prioritize and pick products to fulfill orders, stage them for loading, and ensure the accuracy of product quantities and types.
- Inventory Control: Assist in verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, report inventory shortages, and participate in periodic inventory counts.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Organize warehouse stock by product line, maintain a clean work environment (including cleaning the warehouse and loading dock), and ensure safety standards are followed.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers), and maintain necessary operator licenses.
- Reporting: Submit regular reports on damaged stock, outdated products, over/under shipments, and returns to vendors.
- General Labor: Perform additional tasks such as moving furniture, painting, hanging signs, or assisting with other warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience operating order pickers, forklifts, or other powered industrial trucks is required. Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or climb as necessary during shifts.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
