About the RoleThe Canon U.S.A. Logistics Division receives, maintains and ships inventory of various Canon products. Located in our Norcross, GA Distribution Center, the Warehouse Associate II (Warehouser II) will pick and pack merchandise into proper containers and handling units while maintaining accurate inventory levels by verifying item numbers.Benefits start on day one including medical, dental & vision.40 Hour Work Week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pmThis position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.Your ImpactLoads and off -loads trucks following established distribution guidelines and proceduresVerifies by written documentation or use of computer that merchandise corresponds to receiving reports and is placed in inventorySorts and stocks merchandise/parts into proper storage containers and bins maintaining adequate inventory levels and verifying part numbers and/or item numbersInspect and receive returned merchandise, determining stock grade and storing in proper locationRetrieves merchandise from stock as listed on the picking list or shipping order, frequently with the use of a forkliftVerifies merchandise picked for shipment corresponds to shipping orders, and prepares orders for shipment, packing, weighing and labeling parcels in a manner which ensures the occurrence of transport damage is minimizedAssists with monthly stock inventory procedures, utilizing a hand held computer to record countsAssist in the research of inventory discrepanciesMay report stock damage and shortagePerform shipping and receiving clerical functions utilizing Canon systemsAssist with disposal procedures and processes. Assist in all areas of the operation when neededMost warehouse processes require use of hand held computers linked to a Warehouse Management SystemTypically requires ability to use digital devices for basic inquiries and updating inventory levelsRepresents the organization to customers by providing information, responding to inquiries or troubleshooting product problemsTypically reports to a Supervisor or ManagerLevel II employees have a good understanding of the day-to-day job role, can apply their experience to more complicated tasks and work under limited supervision, though decision-making is still not required as they generally follow existing processes and proceduresAbout You: The Skills & Expertise You BringThis position requires the ability to work as a member of a team and to work overtimeAttention to detail is requiredThis position requires the ability to obtain forklift certificationBasic knowledge and understanding of functionality of a Warehouse Management System preferred (Computer & hard wired scanner, Radio Frequency scanners, hand held or wrist mounted devices)Required to adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment guidelines outlined in Canon Company Policies and follow all housekeeping and recycling guidelinesThis position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs., but occasionally may require the ability to lift more than 50 lbs. with assistanceWarehouse may be subject to ambient temperature and humidity conditionsThe company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.In accordance with applicable law we are providing the starting hourly rate for this role: $20.00 hourlyCompany OverviewAbout our Company -Canon U.S.A., Inc., is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.
