SUMMARY

Progressive trainee positions responsible for assisting with the safe distribution and storing of materials, parts, and equipment at Corden Pharma Colorado while progressively learning job functions. Follows SOPs and established departmental policies and procedures. Drives powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Demonstrates the ability to set up and perform sampling and pre-weighing operations properly and efficiently. Displays initiative in completing training and the ability to retain training. Displays a high level of attention to detail. Supports the general infrastructure of the plant-site and performs general warehouse activities including the removal of waste by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrates the ability to set up and perform sampling and pre-weighing operations properly and efficiently

  • Acts as backup for raw material sampling specialist and performs sampling of raw materials as needed
  • Sampling and visual inspection of all raw materials, intermediates, and packing components (bulk and non-bulk materials)

  • Calibrates and maintains warehouse mini-lab analytical scales

  • Third person review of all “Approved for Use” labels before labeling any raw material or intermediate; as well as making sure the proper material status is indicated in SAP, and that all SAP related Transfer Orders are confirmed

  • Special request sampling in support of QC, Business Development, Small Scale, and Process Support; including Front Run Teams, and Third-Party affiliates, while maintaining inventory control by Goods Issuing those materials to the proper Cost Centers and changing weight label bar codes

  • Responsible for properly managing the generation and accumulation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in the mini-lab

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the mini lab and sampling booth

  • Serves as a back up to other positions within the warehouse

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma and 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License. Ability to become certified in driving a forklift, handling pallet jacks, and other similar equipment. Have DOT/IATA Certification or perform training to achieve certification.

Works in both inside warehouse environment (ambient, cold, and frozen) and outdoors in all weather conditions for receiving and shipping goods and materials. Must be able to work around hazardous solvents and chemicals and wear all required PPE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

SALARY

Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
